King House Co., Ltd. (4419) is committed to encouraging and supporting sports activities in Hualien. In collaboration with Burger King, the Company invited 53 local elementary and junior high school baseball team members and coaches to the Hualien County Baseball Stadium on the 31st, where they enjoyed watching a game and eating burgers, making it a meaningful day.
Qing-Hong, Chen the manager of the newly reopened store of Burger King in Zhongshan on July 27, expressed his desire as a local resident of Hualien for the children to have the opportunity to interact with the Taiwan Steel Group’s team, the Taiwan Steel Eagles. Taking advantage of the professional baseball games being held at the Hualien County Baseball Stadium during the summer, King House and Burger King decided to fulfill Chen’s wish. They invited the baseball teams from Yuli Elementary School, Zhongzheng Elementary School, Huagang Junior High School, and Fengbin Junior High School to engage with the Taiwan Steel Eagles, and even treated them to burgers.
That afternoon, Taiwan Steel Eagles players Wen-Jie, Chen and Hou Jin conducted defensive and batting demonstration training with the young baseball players, and they also held a signing session that attracted many young fans eager to get autographs. In addition to treating the young players and coaches to signature items like the Whopper, Angus Beef Burger, King Chicken Sandwich, and Bacon Double Cheeseburger, Burger King also provided giveaways and engaged the children in fun quizzes to help them understand the importance of additive-free and pure meat products in their daily training. The event concluded with a group photo and cheers of “Go Hualien!”
This was the first charitable event following Taiwan Steel Group’s acquisition of Burger King. Through the group’s strong resource integration, King House and Burger King connected with the community and supported sports activities, fulfilling their corporate social responsibility. The event also aimed to bring positive energy to Hualien, which frequently experiences natural disasters, encouraging more companies to pay attention to the region.
